Monument Valley Navajo Land
As the COVID-19 pandemic extracts a high toll on the Navajo our thoughts and prayers are with them. The reservation is a contrast between spectacular beauty and chronic poverty. We traveled to Monument Valley during the winter of 2018 on a Four Corner’s trip that took us to the Grand Canyon, Telluride, Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico. While we missed the snow, Monument Valley provided wonderful late light, mystical pre-dawn and early light with cloud graced skies. All the better in the winter when few others travel to the Valley. Always worth another trip and look back at some memorable images. Thanks for looking.
